Somerville, Massachusetts - In an extraordinary display of art, culture, and philanthropy, a group of international students led by Minouche Martins and Nathallia Brito hosted the "CharityArt" exhibition, raising an impressive $50,000 for Baluarte World. The event, which saw over 200 attendees, transformed a vision of aid and artistry into a vibrant reality, providing crucial support for children in Congo, Angola, and Brazil.
This remarkable event was orchestrated by a diverse team of students, initially formed by Approach leadership program, the Student Ambassadors Program, and later expanded to include other students and alumni. Their collaboration and volunteer spirit were pivotal in organizing 'CharityArt,' exemplifying the impact of teamwork and dedication. The students utilized their varied skills and resources to oversee everything from digital logistics to the physical setup of the exhibition.
The success of 'CharityArt' was bolstered by the generous contributions of individuals and local businesses who believed in the cause. Operating on a zero budget, every aspect of the event, from the stunning array of artworks to the enthralling live music, was made possible through donations. This community support was essential in creating an enriching experience for all who attended.
The event was enriched with beautiful, adding a soulful dimension to the evening. The performances from Massachusetts' local artists who donated their time and talent the cause was truly a great addition to the art exhibition, these include Isadora Delatorre, the Jazz Combo from the Stoughton High School, George Saraia, and Felipe Martins.
