Lisa has been teaching since 1988 when she first taught English to speakers of other languages. As a high school student, she learned French, Spanish and German and is a lifelong lover of language. She holds a PhD in Linguistics with a specialization in sound systems. She has worked on commercial speech synthesis and recognition, but in the past five years has returned to her first career love, teaching. In the winter, Lisa teaches ice skating and skiing.
